How to Save Money on Good Weather Days

Good weather is enjoyable, but it can also be beneficial in our attempts to save money. Here are three ideas that anyone can start with:

1. Hang laundry to dry
When the weather is good, don’t use the dryer to dry your clothes. Take advantage of the weather and hang your clothes out to dry. You will not only save money, but energy too.

2. Leave the car at home
If it’s possible to walk somewhere and the weather is good, choose to walk. You’ll save money and gas as well as giving yourself a workout. Sometimes it becomes a habit to take the car everywhere, even close destinations. Create a habit, and walk when the weather is good. You’ll probably see parts of your neighbourhood you never noticed before when you were flying by.

3. Take advantage of natural light
It doesn’t have to be sunny to get natural light into the house. Any day that isn’t completely darkened by black clouds, is a day you should open the curtains and let the natural light in. You can use less light, which saves you money. And natural light is good for you, so don’t hide yourself away behind the curtains.
